Kings Fund Library, Deena Maggs

 

This virtual visit will be led by Deena Maggs who will provide an overview of The King’s Fund Library Service which has played a significant role in the provision of health and care policy information for over 75 years. 

  • Looking back at why the Library was initially set up in 1948 and how those core values are still relevant to the Library’s work today.
  • Sharing aspects of the current Library Services provided as well as future aspirations and examples of collaboration with other health and care libraries in the UK.

Deena Maggs leads the King’s Fund’s Library team and is currently Joint Interim Director of Communications. She oversees all the library services that support the work of the Fund as well as the external library services available to anyone with an interest in health and social care policy. Deena’s professional interests include the health information needs of patients and the public and collaborating across library sectors. She is involved with several library interest groups including the Consortium of Independent Health Libraries in London and the CILIP/SCONUL health and social care strategy.
