An opportunity to have an open discussion to learn from each other. This will be a practical session to share tips and examples of how we have responded to the need to make sure our library collections are representative and that our libraries are genuinely open and safe spaces.

An opportunity to have an open discussion to learn from each other. This will be a practical session to share tips and examples of how we have responded to the need to make sure our library collections are representative and that our libraries are genuinely open and safe spaces.

The session will cover the following:

  • Our voices and shared experiences of difference 
  • History of voices and diversity in literature
  • Labels and words that represent diversity 
  • practical experiences in libraries where diversity has been addressed or not
  • booklists 

 *Inclusive and diverse in relation to race, sexuality, gender, health, special needs, disability and class. 

 Registrants will be emailed the Zoom link prior to the event.
