An afternoon of interactive workshops and communication.

Join CILIP Cymru Wales for the afternoon to look at making the most of stakeholder engagement, building a social media presence and meet other members and committee members.

Workshop 1 How to evidence impact; Stakeholder Analysis with our Mentor Support Officer Juanita Foster-Jones

WHO are your users? What are their needs? motivations? and influences? An interactive session exploring this and then applying this knowledge for your service delivery.

Juanita Foster-Jones is Development Officer for the CILIP VLE and developed the Impact Toolkit for members. Juanita has a background in academic libraries, and has a lot of experience in delivering training both online and face to face.

Presentation Ignite your passion and pioneer a career path that’s right for you. Activities Officer Karen Dewick.

Would you like to develop yourself through a series of logical steps, creating a portfolio of experiences?  Invest in the best resource you’ll ever have – yourself (without spending a fortune!).  Network your way to success. How professional registration with CILIP can help you – unlocking your potential and the means to demonstrating value to future employers

Karen is a Subject Librarian and works with students within the Department of Adult Continuing Education at Swansea University.  Having worked as a Careers Adviser for many years prior to joining the Library & Information Profession, Karen has coached many clients through successful career transformations.

Workshop 2 Promoting yourself and your service on social media with Gemma Wood.

How do you make a positive, professional impact online? Gemma will share her top tips for making the most of social media – including do’s and don’ts, advice on how to identify your skills, build your brand and really consider what you put out into the (online) world.

Gemma is Marketing Executive at CILIP, before which she was with Sue Hill Recruitment and TFPL for 6 years and handled all their marketing and events, doing all the exciting stuff including SEO and website management, social media management and content strategy for the brands’ blogs.

Places are limited and your space will need to be booked.

This event is free to CILIP members and £15 for non-members.
