ARLG Eastern 'Birds and Books' : RSPB The Lodge research library visit and walking tour of reserve

A visit to RSPB The Lodge, Sandy, Bedfordshire to see the research library, hear from RSPB researchers and have a walking tour of the reserve. Suitable outdoor clothing and footwear advised! 20 places bookable in advance. Event is FREE but donations to RSPB very welcome. Bring your own refreshments, or buy from The Gatehouse shop on site. A shuttle transport service will be provided at Sandy rail station to meet the 11:56 and 12:04 trains. Free parking. Meet at Reception 12:15.

5 April 2019

Meet at Sandy rail station if you require shuttle transport to The Lodge. A minibus will meet the 11:56 and 12:04 trains only. Free parking is available at the top of The Drive (Blue Badge available 50m from Gatehouse entrance). Let the staff at Reception know on arrival. 

12:15 - 12:30 Meet at Reception and ask for Lisa Hutchins. A room will be available for storage of coats and bags.

12:30 - 13:30 Tour of the research library - please let us know in advance if you have any mobility issues and the tour leader will advise how to make the most of your visit.

13:30 - 14:30 Talk from RSPB researchers

14:30 - 15:30 Walking tour of reserve - suitable outdoor clothing and footwear advised!

15:30 Finish - minibus returns to Sandy rail station to join up with 15:36 and 16:04 trains.

Participants with mobility issues please let us know in advance and the tour leader will advise how to make the most of your visit. Full details of reserve accessibility are available.
