ith Dr Konstantina Martzoukou, Emma Grey and Niall MacDonald – ‘Maddie is Online’ is an online video cartoon series that addresses the everyday life experiences of pre-teen children in the online connected environment, empowering them
with the skills they need to deal with challenging phenomenon in their digital lives (including online bullying, managing online information, copyright and ownership, privacy and security, and online reputation).

With the CILIP-led Media and Information Literacy Alliance taking shape and the Information Literacy Community of Practice pushing forward in Scotland, this session will look at why it has never been more important for library and information
professionals to highlight their skills in this area.
