All library and information professionals, regardless of role, need to know about ethical cataloguing!

 

In this webinar, taking place at 11am on 24th June, members of the Cataloguing Ethics Steering Committee from CILIPthe American Library Association, and the Canadian Federation of Library Associations/Fédération canadienne des associations de bibliothèques, will present their work on the Cataloguing Code of Ethics.

Intentionally taking place during LGBTQ+ Pride Month, the webinar will have a particular focus on how the Code can support the CILIPS Commitment to Equalities, Diversity, and Inclusion as well as CILIP’s Changing Lives programme. It is hoped that implementing the Code will lead to less bias and greater inclusion within the knowledge organisation systems that we create and maintain for all the communities we serve.
