The programme for the event will include a presentation on the Multi Donor Learning Partnership by Chris Collison (Knowledgeable) and Piers Bocock (Acute Incite). Chris and Piers will take us on a conversational journey through their experiences as KM professionals facilitating this important Community of Practice.
Return on Knowledge - the story of the Multi Donor Learning Partnership – a facilitated journey of knowledge sharing, peer-learning
When it comes to partnering and opening sharing good practices in KM, the International Development sector has always been ahead of the curve. Perhaps sharing and learning is driven the scarcity of resources and the real-world understanding of
the value of money, or perhaps the strength of belief in the connection between knowledge management and human impact? Either way, the international development sector has a strong heritage in KM: conferences, events, communities and forums
abound, and are alive with exchanges.
The Multi-donor Learning Partnership is one such Community of Practice – comprising of KM and Organisational Learning professionals the world's largest development donors (including the World Bank, UNICEF, IFAD and several national government
aid and development ministries). The group has been facilitated since 2018 by Chris Collison and Piers Bocock, who will share their experiences of forming, launching and sustaining this important CoP through the challenges of COVID, culminating
in the publication of an exciting new book 'Return on Knowledge' this Spring.
Attendance is free to all who are interested but only members of the K&IM Group are able to vote on any motions submitted to the AGM.
The agenda for the meeting, the minutes of the last AGM and our Business Plan can be found on the group web pages.
To attend the event, please register by Monday 19th September. You will be given details of how to connect using Zoom in advance of the meeting.
