Join CILIP Scotland and Libraries Hacked for a webinar exploring how Open Data can be used by library professionals. Open data is data that anyone can access, use, and share. This webinar will introduce open data, and show examples that have become essential in our day to day lives, such as in transport and health sectors, as well as in tackling climate change. Libraries and Information Professionals are the founders of Open Knowledge principles. But to adopt open digital practices, we need a culture of publishing and building on open data, for innovation and insight. We’ll explore some examples of how external open data sources can be used, and where library data can become essential datasets to share with others. This free online event is open to all CILIP members. Please register here to receive the Zoom joining link in advance.
