K&IM SIG AGM and CPD Event

The K&IM SIG Annual General Meeting will take place on 28 June from 12.00 to 13.30 (UK time).
Please join us online, on Zoom, to help us review the year and look forward to the future.
The programme will also include an interactive presentation from Patrick Lambe, Partner at Straits Knowledge, who will introduce a framework for matching knowledge audit approaches to KM planning needs and objectives:
Topic: Scoping a knowledge audit to support KM planning needs
Patrick Lambe will describe the affinities and differences between knowledge audits, information audits and communication audits. This will be an interactive session in which participants will be invited to share their own knowledge or information auditing
experiences and lessons learned.
The webinar will be based on Patrick’s latest book, Principles of Knowledge Auditing: Foundations for Knowledge Management Implementation, to be published by the MIT Press in May 2023.
Speaker Profile:
Patrick Lambe is the author of the widely-praised book Organising Knowledge: Taxonomies, Knowledge and Organisational Effectiveness (Chandos: 2007) and co-author with Nick Milton of The Knowledge Managers Handbook: a step by step guide to implementing KM in your organization 2nd edn (Kogan Page: 2019), which was awarded the 2019 CILIP K&IM Information Resources Prize in the Print Category.
Based in Ireland and Singapore, he is the founder of knowledge management research and consulting firm Straits Knowledge, founding President of the International Society for Knowledge Organization Singapore Chapter, Visiting Professor at Bangkok University,
and a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of Knowledge Management. Patrick was educated at Oxford, did his Master's in Librarianship and Information Studies at the University of London, and has worked for the past four decades in
librarianship, learning and development, elearning and knowledge management. He is a widely respected keynote speaker and writer on knowledge and information management issues, and his blog is at www.greenchameleon.com. Patrick has also advised CILIP
on the development of the KM Chartership programme.
Attendance at the event is free to all who are interested but only members of the K&IM Group are able to vote on any motions submitted to the AGM. Motions for consideration should be sent to the Hon Secretary, Anne Fraser (secretary.kandim@cilip.org.uk)
