Let’s talk about censorship in the school library sector, how we can champion intellectual freedom and why it’s more important than ever not to be ‘shushed’!

Alice Leggatt is a School Librarian in a mixed state secondary school in London. She is a committee member for CILIP SLG, is currently undertaking Chartership and she has a special interest in issues of censorship and intellectual freedom. Previously a teacher, she moved to libraries (a long-held ambition) in 2021, and loves being part of a community of librarians, many of whom have saved the day for her countless time over the past couple of years!
