Following the success of our first session back in April we are back with another set of lunch time lightning talks. This session will take place during Green Libraries week so this set of presentations will focus on showcasing work people are doing in health libraries around sustainability and climate change. Confirmed speakers for the hour are:
Adam Tocock and Lucy Gilham, Co-Leads of the Sustainability in Health Library Services Community of Practice. Adam and Lucy join us to tell us more about the Sustainability community of practice and how you can get involved. Gavin Moore and Andrew Doyle, University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust Gavin and Andrew will show how a programmable search can save us time. You can see their original poster here. A Programmable Search -A solution to finding guidelines and patient information
Sarah Abernethy, Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Sarah will be asking “Can reading change the attitudes of Foundation Year 1 doctors towards dealing with death and elderly patients.”
This session is run jointly between CILIP HLG and NHS England, Workforce, Training and Education Directorate as part of our work around the A Million Decisions Campaign. We hope to continue to run regular lunch time lighting talks in the future to share our impact stories from libraries working in health and care. Join us on the day to hear how you can get involved or contact Alison Day or Lynsey Hawker for more information.
