CILIP Knowledge Management Professional Qualifications – FAQ Event
Thursday 19th October 1200-1300hrs
This session is aimed at professionals who are undertaking Knowledge Management Chartership or Fellowship, or who are considering converting their existing chartership to a KM qualification or who are interested in finding out more.
It will provide an opportunity for delegates to ask questions about the professional qualification route they have chosen, explore CILIP's Professional Knowledge and Skills Framework (PKSB) as well as find out about the resources which are available to support them whilst collating their portfolio.
The event is FREE and OPEN TO ALL
The panel will be:
Nicki Forgham-Healey, Principal Knowledge and Information Manager at DSTL. Nicki has recently moved into defence libraries after spending 17 years in the Health sector, working at both at a national level and a local level within acute trusts. Nicki achieved her Fellowship last year. Over the years she has contributed to regional newsletters and blogs as well as being a contributor to The Information Professional. She is the Chair of the PRSO group and supports colleagues based in the Southwest. She is passionate about colleagues developing their career.
Mandy Webster, Knowledge Director at large law firm Browne Jacobson LLP was the first person to achieve KM Chartership on the conversion pathway. Mandy is PRSO for CILIP East Midlands and regularly contributes reviews and articles to professional publications such as Information Professional. Passionate about information literacy and digital literacy Mandy has taken an innovative and playful approach to training future lawyers for over 25 years.
Claire Laybats, is professional services development manager at CILIP with responsibility for apprenticeships, professional registration and accreditation. Claire is also commissioning editor at Business Information Review. She has almost 20 experience supporting library, information and knowledge professionals through a variety of roles at TFPL, Jinfo and now CILIP.
