AGM with Talk: Amplifying Black and Asian Voices

Thursday 21st March 2024, 5:30-7:00pm

Join CILIP North East online for our AGM followed by a talk about a Northumbria University student led project to Amplify Black Voices.

About the main talk

We will discuss the aims of our student led project, what was achieved during the first iteration of the project in 2022-23 and explore the individual elements which included:

  • de-colonising a sample of reading lists
  • creation of an online Black voices reading list 
  • student feedback survey 

We will also explain how the project has evolved now we are into the second year with a new set of students and focus.  There will be time for Q&A at the end.
