CILIP London: Libraries and Unions - being a library union rep

Come to our free online event to learn about being a union rep in a library. Find out how to join a union, what the unions can do for you, and what you can do for them.

Our speakers will be:

Carl Banks

Carl is the current Chair of Unite the Union Regional LGBTQ+ committee and network, has been a branch secretary, H&S rep, equality rep, learning rep, and Central Executive Member at various times in other unions, and a member of staff in two unions.

Jonathan Buckner

Jonathan is a member of the UNISON and UCU trade unions. Most recently, he worked in the library at London South Bank University, where he was a UNISON workplace steward and branch secretary

You are welcome to submit a question prior to the event. All questions will be anonymous: Question Form.

Carl and Jonathan will be speaking in a personal capacity, and not on behalf of their unions.
