CILIP Connect | A public affairs advocacy toolkit

CILIP Webinar | Unlocking eBooks for Innovation and Growth
Wednesday 19 March, 12.30pm - 1.30pm
Delivered via Zoom
The Unlocking eBooks for Innovation and Growth project, led by CILIP in partnership with Inflect, a strategic communications and public affairs consultancy, and funded by Knowledge Rights 21 (KR21), aims to create a more sustainable framework for eBook acquisitions and lending for public, academic, and research libraries. At its core, this important project focuses on building the case for regulatory amendments that will facilitate more affordable and equitable eBook purchasing and lending options for libraries.
Join this webinar to hear the findings of a literature review assessing the economic, social, and cultural impacts of enabling more sustainable and inclusive eBook access in libraries. You will also learn about the recently launched ‘case for support’ with 6 recommendations based on this evidence, which is being used to advocate for policy and legislative changes.
There will be time at the end of the session for a Q&A so that you can put your questions forward to the project team.
