Please join the CILIPS Students and New Professionals Community for our first open committee meeting of the new term. The meeting with our extremely friendly and dynamic group will take place on Tuesday the 21st October from 6:30pm-7:30pm – just enough time to get in from work and grab a cup of tea! The committee will introduce themselves and their committee/professional roles, and we will discuss details of past and upcoming events and a strategy around committee recruitment – there is no pressure to come prepared with anything although there will be an opportunity to say hello and ask any questions if you wish! The committee is a space to connect and network with fellow sector newbies who are still in education or in the first seven years of their first library or information related role (or perhaps re-entering into the profession after a time away). No one knows the experiences, successes and challenges of this part of your career like your peers – so come and be a part of the committee! There is no set requirement to be a part of the group, and we welcome professionals from all 4 CILIP Nations to join (Scotland, Ireland, Wales and England).
