Power of Partnerships Our presentation provides a snapshot of the work of Book Aid International, focusing on the partnerships that drive our work and featuring Michael Moyo, from Edward Ndlovu Memorial Trust in Zimbabwe, one of our longstanding and dynamic programme partner organisations.
At Book Aid International we share the power of books and help build a more equal future. We work in partnership with library services, NGOs, and grassroots organisations to provide over one million brand-new books each year. The books support these partners to establish libraries in communities where people would otherwise have few opportunities to read. We currently work with around 194 partners in 27 countries. Together we work everywhere from refugee camps, prisons and hospitals to rural schools where there has never been a library before. Our partners focus on everything from girls’ education to ending poverty – and we work with them to provide the books they need.
Partnership is at the heart of our work and since 2022 in addition to shipping books and running projects together, we have been working very closely with nine organisations, providing training, resources and collaborative opportunities for capacity strengthening.
