The supporting statements for each of the nominees are available on our website: https://www.cilips.org.uk/trustee-board-elections/ All CILIP in Scotland members are eligible to vote in the election and we urge you to participate. Please read the supporting statements for each of the candidates and then complete the form by identifying your 2 preferred candidates for the role of Trustee. The successful nominees will begin their terms on 1st January 2019. wrote on the Devolved Nation: CILIP Scotland wall: Glasgow Libraries have won the CILIP Libraries Change Lives Award for their innovative work supporting people experiencing homelessness with the In-Reach project. This project was developed in partnership with Glasgow Central Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) to provide counselling, support and advice to people affected by homelessness in Glasgow. The award was presented by Lord Graham Tope, CBE, at the CILIP AGM during Libraries Week. Along with the award, Glasgow Libraries has received a £4,000 investment from CILIP to continue their innovative work. wrote on the Devolved Nation: CILIP Scotland wall: Call for Trustees and Vice President Good governance needs well informed and active trustees. CILIPS invites nominations from members for the following positions. You can access the nomination form for all of the below positions here https://cilips.formstack.com/forms/election_form. Trustees CILIPS is seeking nominations for 2 places on the Trustee Board to serve from 1st January 2019 – 31 December 2021. The Trustee Board meets up to 6 times a year and determines CILIPS strategy and policy as well as benchmarking progress against the annually agreed business plan. Prospective candidates must be members of CILIPS and willing to commit to trustee duties as prescribed by the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR). Nominations should be submitted electronically by the nominee and proposed and seconded by two members of CILIPS. All trustees are offered training for their role. Nominations open on 14th September and close on 19th October. In the event of oversubscription elections will be held with the result known by November 28th.
