South East Member Network Bursary

Professional Registration provides CILIP with a new means of recognising skills and new routes into the profession. It encourages the practice of CPD and seeks to achieve parity with other professions.

Bursaries are available to CILIP members living, working or studying within the South East Member Network to attend training events. All library and information-related events such as study days, workshops and conferences will be considered.

However, requests for funding relating to higher education courses will not be accepted. In addition, South East Member Network will not award a bursary if part funding has already been awarded from other bursary awards or sponsors.

Applying for the South East Member Network Bursary

Applicants will be expected to state why they want to attend a particular event and how they plan to use their new knowledge and skills. Successful applicants will be expected to produce a report for the South East Member Network newsletter and website after attendance at the event.

Please refer to Guidelines for Bursary Applications before applying. Funding can be applied for at any time during the year by submitting the Bursary Application Form. Both of these documents can be found at the bottom of the page.

Note: Bursaries depend on the availability of funding, and the Committee reserves the right not to award free places. Applicants will be notified as soon as possible after the decision is made.
