Important information about professional registration and revalidation

We know that many of our members find the VLE difficult to use. You’ve told us that it can be frustrating to navigate, and that it feels tired. We know the system is due an overhaul, so we’re going to migrate it and make some changes.

We’re going to be migrating the VLE this summer. This will improve the process for submitting professional registration applications in the future.

If you have anything stored on the VLE which you don’t have a copy of elsewhere, you’ll need to extract and save it before Friday 30 August. After this date, everything will be deleted and we won’t be able to help you retrieve anything. Extracting your portfolio is easy, and shouldn’t take longer than a few minutes. Please note, you only need to extract your completed portfolio if you want a record of exactly how the content appears on the VLE.

If you’ve used CPD logs for your portfolio or revalidation these will need to be extracted, as will revalidation statements if you don’t already have copies.

Please follow these instructions to extract any content you’d like to keep from the VLE.

All professional registration and learning resources will remain available on the VLE until Friday 30 August. Access to the PKSB and our bite sized training is unaffected.

The project should be completed by early autumn, and as soon as we have any more information to share with you, we’ll be in touch.

If you have any questions, or need any help with extracting your portfolio content please contact our member services team .
