ACE announces grant recipients from the Culture Recovery Fund

The Arts Council England has today announced a list of the organisations which will receive a grant from the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund. The awarding of the grants is great news for organisations across the arts and culture sector, which has been hit particularly hard by the COVID-19 crisis.

CILIP is delighted to have been awarded a grant to support us in recovering and rebuilding from the impact and disruption of COVID. The grant money will enable us to deliver key activities in 2021 including the Carnegie Greenaway Awards, Libraries Week and the Nation of Readers programme, plus the development of fundraising and sponsorship programmes to ensure the continued viability of these activities.

Nick Poole, CILIP Chief Executive, commented; “This has been an incredibly challenging year for the country as a whole, and libraries in particular. I am immensely proud of the way our members, and the sector as a whole, have risen to this challenge and and the many ways in which library and knowledge staff have offered services and support to the communities they serve.

This grant from the Culture Recovery Fund will enable us at CILIP to continue to support our sector with our campaigns and awards programme, including the Carnegie Greenaway Awards, which has undergone a rapid digital transformation this year.

We’d like to congratulate all the recipients of the Culture Recovery Fund grants and look forward to seeing the difference this funding will make to organisations and communities.”
