Do you want to employ 16-24 year olds under the Kickstart scheme?
Earlier this year the Government launched a £2 billion scheme – Kickstart – to help get 16 – 24 year olds back into employment. If an employer, or a representative for a group of employers, can offer a minimum of 30 positions the government
will cover the cost of a role for 25 hours a week over six months as well as funding for the training required as part of the scheme.
CILIP recognises the unique and exciting opportunity this scheme offers young people as route into the sector and – at a time when the additional capacity would be welcome for many – CILIP is looking to leverage its positon in the sector
to help all employers, both large or small, to take advantage of this scheme. CILIP can help in two ways:
a) Acting as a representative for any organisations who aren’t able to offer 30 positions b) Offering tailored Library, Information & Knowledge Management training for employees
To this end CILIP are looking for expressions of interest, so if think CILIP might be help please fill out this form here.
