Nominations open today for The CILIP 125 List, in celebration of the 125th anniversary of CILIP’s Royal Charter.
The CILIP 125 List, will recognise and honour a new generation of 125 librarians, information and knowledge management professionals who drive positive change in our industry.
125 years ago to the day, Queen Victoria awarded the royal to seal to CILIP, at that time known as the Library Association, to "work for the benefit of the public to promote education and knowledge through the establishment and development of libraries and information services and to advance information science."

For 125 years of Royal Chartership, CILIP has supported, sustained, and promoted the libraries and knowledge management profession.
The CIILIP 125 List aims to find and celebrate exceptional information and knowledge management professionals who drive positive change, and make a difference and impact across all sectors.
All you need to do is nominate someone from libraries or the information and knowledge management professions. The only criteria for eligibility are that Nominees must:
- Be within the first 7 years of their professional life as a librarian, information or knowledge professional (they can be of any age)
- Be a member of CILIP
- Be currently working in a library, information service or knowledge service
- Be making a positive contribution to the lives of their users, whether in a community, a learning institution or a corporate entity.
