Louis adds in his letter to the Prime Minister: “[CILIP] champions our members’ positive impact, making people’s lives better by providing access to trustworthy knowledge and information, and inspiring culture. Information professionals
provide services across the economy that go far beyond the traditional view of public libraries – whether that is supporting students in schools, colleges, and universities; helping researchers in universities, institutes and industry;
or bolstering businesses of all shapes and sizes to thrive.”
