CILIP magazine brings new features for 2025

Information Professional

Changes are coming to CILIP’s membership magazine in 2025, with more emphasis on high quality features, interviews and sector insights.

As part of CILIP’s digital transformation programme, the editorial team behind Information Professional will be shifting more content online and building a rich ecosystem articles for print and digital channels.

This move will see news items move exclusively to the CILIP website, helping you to stay in touch with events that affect the profession as they happen. Selected interviews, features and insights will also be included on the CILIP website, enabling members to access articles when and how best suits them.

The regular print editions will move for six times a year to a quarterly publication cycle, with each issue featuring more pages and more space for in-depth coverage of the profession and its sectors.

The changes will also allow us to make savings that can be re-invested into CILIP’s membership benefits, ensuring every single member gets the best value for money from their annual subscription.

And in the wake of COP29 and CILIP’s Green Libraries Week and Conference, the reduction in print and delivery will have a positive impact on Information Professional’s environmental impact.

The first issue of the new year should be landing on doorsteps on 6 February 2025, with some exciting new additions to look out for. In the meantime, you can access the December Digital issue, with more details about the changes, through the CILIP App or on the CILIP website from 12 December.

For full details of how to read the digital issue online or through the app, visit www.cilip.org.uk/infopro.
