On receipt of the completed form, the Fund’s Administrator will be in touch to discuss the application. At this point financial matters will be raised including sources of income salaried/state pension/occupational pension/pension credit/disability or carer allowances/mortgage relief, etc. Please note that all information is treated with strict confidentiality and that your eligibility for assistance will be checked against the CILIP membership registry. With the agreement of the applicant, a visit or telephone call is then arranged to discuss the difficulty with him/her and the way in which the Fund can best help to resolve it. On the basis of this visit or telephone call and the information derived from it, the Chair, after consulting fellow Trustees, will take a decision, usually within a few days.
