I am CILIP’s IT Systems Administrator and I am responsible for looking after Server, Network, PC and you name it everything that comes in IT. I love what I do and I do some coding and scripting for automation which helps me a lot when I work. I did my MSc in Network and Computer Systems Security from the University of Greenwich. What I love reading is Manga, Manhwa and Manhua (Japanese, Korean and Chinese Comics) and mainly, I love traveling and I’m in mission to visit each and every country in this Planet Earth.
As CILIP’s Advertising Manager since 2007, I have looked after the CILIP Job Board, advertising in Information Professional magazine and the Buyers’ Guide Directory and the Enterprise Partner programme. I have over 20 years of B2B sales experience and previously worked for Blackwells, Associated New Media and the Evening Standard. Prior to that, I lived and worked for seven years in Turkey.
In my role as Implementation Manager I have been actively involved in CILIP's digital transformation programme, as well as reviewing practices and processes in light of GDPR. I have a marketing background and love to read and travel.
I am the Executive Assistant to the CEO and Board at CILIP, which means that I look after all of the needs for the CEO and Board. This includes everything from diary management and travel booking to helping with events. I have been a PA/EA for over 4 years now and have a degree in music with a MA in Arts administration. Outside of work I enjoy running and run with Backpackers as well as doing CrossFit; I also enjoy socialising with family and friends and always have a book on the go!
I began my career as geography teacher became head of department before qualifying as a chartered accountant. I worked in Action for children as treasury manager,IndependentAge as financial accountant, Royal College of Nursing as Senior Business Accountant & WWF as Head of Accounting Operations. As CILIP’s Head of Finance I support the Resources Committee and the CEO.
I am a Graduate Trainee with CILIP Scotland. My role involves being a point of contact for members of CILIP Scotland, as well as helping to organise events, training, advocacy, and campaigns that will support members and allow them to develop their skills and knowledge. I have recently undertaken an MSc in Information and Library Studies at the University of Strathclyde, and have experience of working in academic and health libraries.
Having joined CILIP from a scientific journals publisher, I support the Facet Publishing team across a variety of functions; Editorial, Production, Marketing, Sales and Operations. I studied languages and literature, and I enjoy reading, dance, and writing the odd short story.
As Sales and Marketing manager at CILIP my role is to ensure that we’re communicating effectively about everything we’re doing for our members (and potential members) so that you get real value from your membership. This means that everything from renewal campaigns to website text to pull up banners at exhibitions has been under my eye at some point. I’ve also got a PgDip in Professional Marketing from the CIM, I live in SE London with my OH who’s a rare books dealer and am learning modern Greek.
As CILIP Ireland Development Manager, I support the CILIP Ireland Committee to fully deliver CILIP's membership offer to CILIP Ireland Members. I studied LIS at Aberystwyth University and over the past 15 years I have held roles in a diverse range of library and information sectors.
As CILIP’s web and digital manager, I look after CILIP’s digital presence including its website and social media. I’ve got an MLIS from Victoria University and have worked in a mix of digital and marketing communications for the last 20 years. Outside of work, I’m a keen cyclist, avid reader and can generally be found with headphones on.
I joined CILIP in 2015 to work with the accredited learning providers and to develop CILIP's accreditation portfolio of qualifications. This requires a lot of travel! Ask Workforce Development Manager, I now also have the responsibility of career support and Professional Registration as well so I meet members at all stages of their careers. During my career I have worked in most sectors apart from Health and Schools.
Outside work, I am the Chair of the CILIP London Regional Committee and I can also be found occasionally on the amateur stage in a variety of costumes and wigs.
I’m the Administrator whose primary role is HR administration but you’ll also find me working across the organisation for Finance, Events, and Member Networks. I joined the LA in 1995 as an Information Assistant having spent 4 years as a Library Assistant at the NSPCC followed by 10 years in Training and Development.
As Director of Resources I look after all the support services at CILIP which include HR, finance, IT, governance and our building (which we own and generate income from through letting out office space and meeting rooms). My background is HR, I’m a Fellow of the CIPD and I’ve worked in charities and membership bodies for 30 years.
I'm CILIP's Events Manager overseeing CILIP's key annual events including the CILIP Conference and Copyright Conference having previously worked in policy and with Member Networks at CILIP. When I'm not working I'll be tidying up, reading for one of two book clubs I belong to, or walking the lovely parks of South East London.

A chartered information professional, with over 20 year’s experience as a practitioner, I specialise in building strategic partnerships across the profession. I am passionate advocate for the importance of library and information roles and the value they bring to society. Away from the office I am known to visit bridges and obsess over baseball.
Juanita Foster-Jones is the Online Learning Manager at CILIP, Mentor Suport Officer for CILIP Cymru Wales and achieved her CILIP Fellowship in 2017. She has a passion for training and development and supports CILIP mentors and CILIP professional registration candidates on a daily basis.
My job is to oversee all marketing and membership functions and look after the membership team. I’ve got a background in marketing, communications and digital, and have worked for charities, trade unions and other membership organisations. I live in east London with my dog.
I recently started as production manager at Facet Publishing, working with authors and freelance suppliers to get books ready for press and printed. Previously I worked in music publishing for 20 years. I love travelling abroad and hiking and am a trustee of a local music school and founding member of our high school PTA.
I manage CILIP’s campaigns and awards which includes running the Carnegie and Kate Greenaway children’s book awards and Libraries Week, the annual celebration of the nation’s much-loved libraries. I have a keen interest in literacy, diversity and inclusion, and a love for children’s books. When not at work I can often be found with my nose in a book.
As CEO of CILIP, I am responsible for supporting our fantastic team to deliver for our members and for championing our profession. I studied Modern Languages and Linguistics and have a postgraduate qualification in the History & Philosophy of Science. Over the past 20 years, I’ve held various leadership roles in libraries, museums and the wider culture sector. I live in South West London with my family and dog.
I have been part of CILIP’s Community engagement team since 2017. My background is in communications, project management and community engagement. My role is to work with our network of professional volunteers to strengthen member engagement across CILIP. I have worked in a variety of roles in the NHS, local government, charities and the private sector in Liverpool, London and Kent over the past 20 years. I love travel, theatre, sci-fi and fantasy. My new passion is sailing.
I am the Project Manager for Working Internationally – a programme to promote international working and knowledge-exchange for public libraries in England. I have a degree in Communication Design and English Literature, and am pursuing a postgrad fellowship in Social Innovation. I have previously worked as a university teacher, a library professional, and creative director of a community space, and am a strong believer in the power of art, books, music, and a good cup of coffee.
My role as Sales and Marketing Manager (Events) is to encourage as many people as possible book delegate places at CILIP HQ Briefings, Conferences and Showcases, as well as to help maintain the high standard of our events. My background is marketing within the events industry – I’ve worked on some of the largest consumer events in the country, including The Ideal Home Show, The London Motor Show and The Baby Show. Outside of the office, I have been known to “tread the boards” in amateur theatre productions, and I help out in a local school encouraging a love of reading and books.

I joined CILIP in 2011 bringing my print and design skills to the publications team. I design and layout Information Professional magazine and associated print and digital materials for CILIP departments and groups. Originally from Scotland, my background is in newspapers and commercial print.

I am Acting Director of CILIP Scotland. The job entails working as part of a team of two looking supporting CILIP Scotland members. We deliver events, support, training, advocacy, campaigns, communications and more for our members in Scotland as well as working with partners and our Trustee Board for the benefit of library services in Scotland. Previously, I worked in public libraries in Inverclyde for 5 years as Learning Services Librarian.
As Marketing and Sales Manager for CILIP’s publishing arm, Facet Publishing, Sinéad is passionate about working on thought leading research and collaborating with authors to ensure that their books reach the widest possible audience. She works with international agents and reps to drive sales of Facet books globally. She has an MA in English Literature and is a keen reader of 18th century classics.
As CILIP’s New Business Development Manager, I work with colleagues across the organisation to identify and exploit opportunities for business development and growth. Currently we are strengthening our offer to the Knowledge Management community; and next year we will be looking at our offer to those in the Data Science and Analytics community.
Hello! My name is Wren and I’m a Membership Manager at CILIP. I oversee the day to day administration of our members. As well helping our individual members, I am also in charge of the administration of our Employer Partners. Furthermore, I am a trained project manager & I hold a Six Sigma Green belt qualification. On the weekends I enjoy pina coladas and getting caught in the rain.
