Call for Speakers - 20 minute presentations

After a hugely successful launch event this year, the Data Protection Conference returns in June 2026, and will once again welcome thought leaders and established experts to discuss big ideas in the fields of data protection, cyber security and privacy.

This year we are welcoming submissions for 20-minute presentations to feature as part of the programme. Successful applicants receive a complimentary delegate place for the day.

Talks should be around the theme of data protection, particularly within the contexts of libraries, education, healthcare and cultural heritage organisations. Topics which address the latest developments in data protection, privacy and/or cyber security; present new research or case studies; or offer an international perspective are particularly welcome.

Delegates in attendance are usually in roles with responsibility or links to data protection compliance, and therefore sessions should be pitched at an appropriate level for a professional audience with existing working knowledge.

You can get a feel for previous programming here.

Please complete the submission form below by Midnight 30th January 2026.

W e particularly welcome applications from professionals who are underrepresented in the library, knowledge and information sector, including people from ethnically diverse, LGBTQ+ and working-class backgrounds, people with experience of disability and those who are neuro-diverse.
