CILIP and CILIP Health Libraries Group (HLG) are pleased to offer two Federation for Informatics Professionals (FEDIP) funded Bursaries. Bursary 1 is for non-members of CILIP, and Bursary 2 is for members of CILIP.
Bursary 1: Application for CILIP membership (for non-members of CILIP)
This offer is open to anyone who is not currently a member of CILIP and can demonstrate they meet the application criteria, and complete the application process.
We are particularly interested in hearing from people from under-represented groups in our profession.
What do applicants need to demonstrate?
An understanding of the benefits of being a member of a professional network and be able to describe what they would like to get out of their membership.
Be an active member by reflecting on and promoting their experience and learning to others in the profession (such as by contributing to newsletter pieces, conference presentations, participating in network events etc.)
Demonstrate recent CPD activity by completing the CPD log as part of the application process.
What is the Application Process?

Download and fill in the CPD Log (To help you complete your CPD log we are running two interactive sessions where we give
you the time to complete your first CPD log, in a morning. More information coming soon.)
Bursary 2: Application for 12 months free registration to FEDIP (existing CILIP members only)
FEDIP, CILIP and CILIP HLG are working together to offer up to 200 existing CILIP members 12 months free access to FEDIP at the level of registration that best suits you.
This offer is open to existing CILIP members who can demonstrate they meet the application criteria, and complete the application process.
We are particularly interested in hearing from people from under-represented groups in our profession.
Standard Members of CILIP (including student members) should download, and complete a CPD activity log and email
it to membership@cilip.org.uk and submit an application form.
Certified members (ACLIP), Chartered members (MCLIP) and Chartered fellows (FCLIP) only need to complete an application form, and do not need to submit a CPD log, provided they have revalidated in the last 12 months.
If ACLIP, MCLIP, FCLIP members have not revalidated in the last 12 months, you can still apply for the bursary, but you need to revalidate before the bursary
application deadline.

What is the Application Process?
Complete & submit an Application Form
Fill in a CPD log (FCLIP, ACLIP, MCLIP members do not need to submit a CPD Log, but need to have their charter/certificate validated
within the last 12 months in order to apply - or revalidate it before bursary applications close)
Email the CPD Log to membership@cilip.org.uk or revalidate (FCLIP, ACLIP, MCLIP
members whose chartership/certificate has not been validated in the last 12 months)
Closing date for applications is Monday 8 May at 5pm.
Successful candidates will be notified by email.
Memberships will run from June 1 2023 to 31 May 2024.
Members and non-members, who wish to apply for one of the bursaries and need to complete a CPD log, can join an interactive webinar to help them complete their CPD log in 90 minutes and get it ready to submit with the application.
The session is free of charge, and takes place on Monday 17th April 1.30-3pm.
FCLIP, MCLIP, and ACLIP members, who have not validated in the last 12 months, can join this free interactive webinar to complete the revalidation log and revalidate their chartership/certification to be eligible for the bursary.
The session will take place Tuesday 25th April 9.30-12.30pm.
