The School Libraries in View (SLiV) is the journal of the CILIP School Libraries Group (SLG) and is published annually.
SLG's aims are:
- To inform SLG members of the work carried out on their behalf
- To report on the wider world of children's librarianship by focusing on key issues and government initiatives
- To celebrate the work of school librarians
- To advocate for school libraries at the highest level of Government
- To provide training for our members at a sustainable cost
- To enable our membership to attain Certification or Chartership by offering advice and training
Each edition includes:
- Commissioned articles from our members on a given theme of topical interest
- A report from the current SLG Chair on their plans for the coming year
- News from members
Each issue is archived on the web after publication. Members have access to the articles that have appeared in SLiV since 2015 onwards. Access current and archive journals from SLiV below, from issues 40 through 48.
Views expressed in SLiV are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the view of SLG or of CILIP.
