Two bursary places for CILIP Conference 12th-13th July

Posted By Katherine Burchell, 31 May 2023
CILIP East of England are offering two bursary places to attend the CILIP Conference in July. These bursary places are designed to offer a CILIP member who is currently studying / new to the profession and/or without the financial means to cover the ticket - an opportunity to attend the conference and benefit from career professional development and networking opportunities. The programme of CILIP Conference 2023 is designed to upskill, connect and develop established, emerging and aspiring leaders to move the needle of pressing issues within the sector and support their next career move. It is CILIP East Member Network’s aim that these bursary places will support aspiring or emerging leaders in our profession to develop their career and empower them to take their next step into leadership. We are particularly interested in hearing from people who have never been to the CILIP Conference before, and who wouldn’t ordinarily be able to go. I’ve attached the conference bursary form and we are happy to help with travel/accommodation through our Small Grants Fund. https://www.cilip.org.uk/members/group_content_view.asp?group=200698&id=685438 The deadline for applications is 9th June 2023.

Cambridge Librarians publish article on the Research Support Ambassador programme at Cambridge University

Posted By Administration, 23 February 2018

More and more librarians are offering research support to academics in higher education, advising researchers on many aspects of their work, including data storage and publication.

At Cambridge University the internal staff development programme has been instrumental in supporting librarians who offer research support.

Now, Claire Sewell and Danny Kingsley have published their article about the programme, "Developing the 21st Century Academic Librarian" in the New Review of Academic Librarianship.
