How does information literacy come into play for your organisation?

Posted By Hannah Martin, 06 November 2024
Hi, I am currently looking into how I can improve on my delivery of information literacy at my school. I was hoping that some librarians from other sectors might have some advice on how they tackle this issue and if there's anything your organisation does to combat misinformation? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks, Hannah

I address some aspects in library lessons at different times through the year with KS3 and KS5, but have also worked with heads of English, Maths and Science to write and model disciplinary IL lessons for their staff to deliver so that these issues are raised more generally around school and not just in / by the library.

Hi Karen, thanks for your response. That sounds excellent, and ideally I would like to do something similar. I'm just wondering if you have any resources or links that would help me put something together for this? No worries if not, as I know you'll be busy!
