CILIP Annual General Meeting 2020

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals for 2020 will be held virtually on Thursday 29 October 2020 at 2 pm.

All Individual Members whose membership subscriptions are not in arrears are entitled to vote at the AGM. Others are not entitled to vote, but are welcome to attend as observers.

In light of the shift to a virtual General Meeting, we will use the Bye Law provisions for proxy voting. The vote will be via the online Mi-Voice platform, and all votes cast in advance will be lodged as proxy votes with the Chair. Members wishing to vote on the Resolutions on the day of the meeting will be required to have their Membership number to hand to lodge their vote online.

One minute’s silence will be observed to remember CILIP members who have passed away in the previous 12 months


3. Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of 2019
The minutes of the meeting to be approved as a correct record (Resolution 1)


4. Matters arising from the minutes of 2019
To take any matters arising from the minutes of last year’s AGM


5. Report on the elections for 2019
No election was required


6. Adoption of 2020 Membership fees (Resolution 2)

7. Appointment of auditors
To appoint Haysmacintyre as CILIP’s Auditors for 2021 (Resolution 3)


8. Receipt of the Trustees Annual Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 December 2019
The Honorary Treasurer will introduce the Annual Report and Accounts for 2019


9. Announcement of Honorary Fellows for 2020
The Chair of the Honorary Fellowship Panel to make the announcement


10. Library Champion Presentation
Bobby Seagull to give a short speech


11. Announcement of the results of the votes on the three Resolutions.
