AGM with Lightning Talks

Join CILIP North East online for our AGM followed by a series of lightning talks sharing insight into working in different sectors.
Members of the CILIP North East Regional Member Network committee are kindly giving their time to share insights into what it is like to work in different sectors. This series of lightning talks from our volunteer committee will be accompanied by an opportunity for Q&A.
Speakers
Amina Marix Evans - Founder of the Kittiwake Trust Multilingual Library – will give a glimpse into the joys and sorrows of running an independent nomadic library.
Paula Fitzpatrick worked for 20+ years in academic libraries - the best part of her professional career. In early 2022 she moved to the corporate sector working for Clarivate Analytics. In this short talk, she will reflect on changes both personally and professionally.
Jennie Hillyard - Library and Archives Manager, The Common Room - works within a special collection library and archive held by a charity, The Common Room. She is a solo Librarian with a team of volunteers.
Sean Howley - a Master's student in Library Management and a Reading List Assistant at Northumbria, discusses his work volunteering at a local, entirely volunteer-led and -run public library in Newcastle, and the valuable experience it has provided.
Joanne Naughton is an NHS Knowledge and Library Services Development Manager (North East and Yorkshire). She has worked for 20 plus years in NHS libraries - her role is to support the development of NHS knowledge and library services through advocacy, partnership working and quality assurance.
Jackie McGuire, Library & Knowledge Services Lead for Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will give you a quick tour of one library service from North Shields to Berwick via Cramlington , Hexham and Ashington!

Registration for this event will be open until 26th March 2023.
This event is free to all and we welcome information and knowledge professionals from all sectors. It will take place online via Teams. The Teams link will be included within the confirmation email you receive after you register.
