Open bursary call

Are you looking to attend a conference or event, but don't have the funds towards it? We are pleased to offer support for a conference that will help you further your career or studies in the library field. We will also contribute to transport or accommodation costs where feasible.

This fund is open from May 2025, and is eligible for any CILIP member - you don't need to be a member of CILIP London.

To apply - send a short paragraph to chair.london@cilip.org.uk, which includes:

• The conference/event you'd like to attend, including cost and URL
• Why you would like to attend the event
• How it would help to further your career or interests
• Your status - i.e. student, new professional, employed, unemployed, retired etc.

Those awarded will be asked to provide us with a blog post to describe the event.

Please do apply to us with at least a month before the event to ensure we have time to process it. If we have a lot of requests, we will close the call, and priority will be given to students and new professionals.
