Ad hoc Professional Development Grants

CILIP London Member Network offers grants to its members to facilitate attendance at events which will contribute towards their professional development; events, such as conferences, courses or general meetings, can include those organised by other organisations as well as CILIP and its Groups.

The purpose of this scheme is to further professional development. Applicants, therefore, should provide a brief statement (250 words) outlining how their proposed attendance will contribute to this. Selection will be by one or more of the Member Network Committee Members and their decision is final; no overall feedback will be provided, although the judges may at their discretion provide a brief reason for any rejection of an application. Candidates should bear in mind that it can take several weeks for applications to be evaluated and are advised to apply well in advance of any event booking deadline.

Grants can be full or partial cost, and can include travel costs.

Applicants must be current members of the London Member Network. They will be responsible for making all arrangements once grants have been approved.

One or more conditions will be attached to grants. Typically, the successful applicant will be expected to make a short written report. If requested, applicants must also be ready to speak at a CILIP LMN evening event.
