CILIP Yorkshire & Humberside - Awards and Bursaries

CILIP Yorkshire & Humberside try to offer bursaries to help people in our region access conferences, training and other CPD activities that they might not otherwise be able to access. Please keep an eye out for future opportunities!

CILIP Y&H Professional Development Fund

CILIP Yorkshire & Humberside have established a professional development fund to offer members of CILIP Yorkshire and Humberside the opportunity to attend CPD events that they otherwise wouldn’t be able to, due to lack of financial support.

This fund aims to support our local members to undertake meaningful activities to support their career development, towards our wider goal of equity, diversity and inclusion. Our aim is to get the maximum impact from these bursaries for the benefit of regional information professionals and services.

Members of CILIP Yorkshire & Humberside can apply for a bursary of up to £350 towards professional development activities, such as conferences, workshops and training events and associated expenses. Please apply at least 4 weeks in advance of any event.

To apply, please read the fund eligibility criteria and notes for applicants carefully and when ready to apply, fill in this application form.

All applications will be considered by the CILIP Yorkshire & Humberside Committee and, while we cannot guarantee that all submissions will be funded successfully, we will do our best to support candidates wherever possible. CILIP is committed to championing diversity, inclusion, and representation. We welcome applications from individuals from communities underrepresented in the library and information sector and/or who have experienced barriers to their personal and professional development.
