vacant - Vice Chair

Tracey Coombes - Treasurer

I became a Chartered Librarian in 1984 and started working in prison libraries in 1988 at HMP Reading (later HMYOI & RC Reading, now closed) as part of my wider role in Special Services in Berkshire Libraries. I was appointed as Prison Librarian at HMP Wormwood Scrubs in 1996, the first person in this role. I have been an active committee member for a number of years, for most of those holding the post of Honorary Treasurer.

Julie Shannon - Secretary

I have worked as Library Co-ordinator at Albany Site of HMP Isle of Wight (previously HMP Albany) since 2006. I work with adult men.

Victoria Barnett - Web Editor

Prison Library Development Manager for Kent County Council. I manage the 5 prison libraries in Kent (HMPs East Sutton Park, Elmley, Maidstone, Standford Hill and Swaleside) which includes a mix of open, local, high security, foreign national and women.

Membership Secretary - Vacant

Abibat Olulode BA (Hons), MA, MCLIP - Committee Member

Development Librarian for Lambeth Libraries including HMP Brixton library.

David Herd - Committee Member

After completion of service in the British Army I embarked on a new career within Lincolnshire libraries.

Currently I am the Librarian of HMP North Sea Camp, a category D prison with approximately 400 residents.

This is a rewarding and challenging customer base, as we assist the prisoners with their preparation for release and resettlement.
