Welcome to the website for the North West Member Network of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP). Our purpose is to represent and support all the members of CILIP in the North West of England.

Areas covered:

• Cheshire
• Cumbria
• Lancashire and Isle of Man
• The metropolitan districts of Bolton, Bury, Knowsley, Liverpool, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, St Helens, Salford, Sefton, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, Wigan and Wirral.
• The non-metropolitan districts of Blackburn, Darwen, Blackpool, Halton and Warrington.

Who we are

North West Members Network, as you might imagine, is made up of an eclectic and enthusiastic bunch of librarians and information professionals from various locations across the northwest, ranging from public librarians to information governance officers.

What we do

Our primary aim is to be the regional voice for our members in the northwest, representing your views and opinions on a local and national level. We also act as a channel between different Member Network and groups, ensuring your voice is heard.
