Naomi Korn Associates and CILIP Partnership Training
Online, Half-Day Course
Thursday 28 July 2022 10am-1pm
The terms ‘open access’, ‘open licensing’ and ‘Creative Commons licences’ are frequently used in the library, information and knowledge management sectors but what do they mean in relation to materials your organisation is creating or using?
Funders like the National Heritage Lottery Fund and UK Research and Innovation have a requirement that any funded materials are made freely available to the public under an open licence such as the CC BY 4.0 licence.
This half day course is perfect for anyone who needs to know more about Creative Commons licences and how they work in practice including using Creative Commons licensed content in your own resources and applying Creative Commons licences to materials
created or commissioned by your organisation.
It is designed for staff working across all library, information and knowledge management sectors and great for newcomers to open licensing or those who need a refresher on how to comply with open licensing requirements from funders.
