Jess Pembroke
Director of Information Law Services, Naomi Korn Associates
With 15 years of experience as a Data Protection Officer across the health, further and higher education, charity, and private sectors, Jess has built a career on understanding wider organisational goals and translating compliance frameworks into actionable information for key decision-makers.
Jess has worked as a Senior Manager at Naomi Korn Associates for a number of years, building and leading a team of experienced professionals. Jess has a Masters Degree in Information Rights Law and Practice and qualifications in audit, risk management and cyber security.

Dr Kit Good
Data Protection Manager, The Alan Turing Institute
Kit has worked in information governance for nearly two decades, working in the local government and university sectors as a DPO and Freedom of Information Officer. As a data protection consultant, he worked with charities, schools and further education colleges.
Since 2023, he has worked as Data Protection Manager at The Alan Turing Institute, supporting operational and research activities. He is also an IAPP qualified AI Governance Professional.

Sara Stock
Head of Data Protection and Information Management, Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA)
Sara is an information professional with many years’ experience in the public sector. She currently works as Data Protection Manager at DVSA, an arm’s length body of the Department for Transport, where her team deals with data protection, information risk, information audit and records management. Previously Data Protection Officer at the University of Essex, she has worked in Data Protection for over 10 years.
At the University of Essex Sara was a member of the Research Ethics Committee and continues to have a keen interest in the ethical use of data. She began her working life in libraries and is still a keen advocate for public library provision. A key member of her local Save the Library campaign she became founding chair of her local Friends of the Library group. Sara supports Naomi Korn Associates clients with data privacy issues.

Sue White
Information Governance Manager, Naomi Korn Associates
Sue is a data protection specialist with GDPR experience within local government and higher education. Sue held the post of Data Protection Officer for both the University of East Anglia (UEA) and Norwich University of the Arts and has over a decade of governance experience within district councils. Sue holds a practitioner certificate in data protection.
At Naomi Korn Associates, Sue works with a range of clients across the education and charitable sectors.
Sue has a practical and pragmatic approach to dealing with data protection issues and has significant experience of Freedom of Information law and Data Subject Access Requests.
Sue has written and produced training packages for several organisations and her strength is her ability to communicate with people at all levels of understanding, turning complex legislation into something relevant and meaningful.

Jen Persson
Founder and Director, Digital Defend Me
Jen founded Defend Digital Me in 2015 and is a former lay member on the Administrative Data Research Network approvals panel for public interest research. She supported the Council of Europe Data Protection Committee on Convention 108 in drafting Guidelines on Children’s Data Protection in Educational Settings (2020) and was awarded the “Michal Serzycki” Data Protection Award in recognition.
Jen is a member of the CoE digital citizenship working group on AI and Education, and co-authored their report Artificial intelligence and Education, A critical view through the lens of human rights, democracy and the rule of law (2022).
