Registration and payment
To register or purchase from the CILIP online booking system, you must ensure that the details provided by you on registration or at any time are correct and complete.
All Debit/Credit Cards will be processed in British Pounds Sterling at the time of payment. CILIP is not responsible for any fees, charges, exchange rates or additional charges levied by individual financial institutions or Debit/Credit
Return, Refund and Cancellation Policies
A 14 day cooling-off period applies to membership. During this time you can cancel for any reason and get your money back. Please note the specific terms and conditions of membership
Head office Events e.g. Conferences, Training, Executive Briefings & Webinars
An invoice will be raised on receipt of your booking. We cannot accept cancellations or offer refunds once you have registered onto the event. If any booked delegate is unable to attend we will be pleased to accept a substitute if notified
in writing at least 24 hours in advance - substitute names should be emailed to email@example.com. If this is not possible, then cancellation of this place will be charged at the invoiced fee.
Credit terms: Our credit terms are strictly 30 days from date of invoice OR by the date of the event – whichever date is earliest. All invoices must be settled prior to the event.
Devolved Nation and Member Network courses and training
Payment for all services must be received prior to the scheduled service date. Cancellations within 14 days of the scheduled service date will not be refunded. Cancellations prior to 14 days of the scheduled service date will receive a credit
towards a future service based on availability and similar cost.
Cancellation or alteration by CILIP
If CILIP have to cancel the event, our liability shall be limited to a full refund of any event fees paid only. CILIP will not refund any travel or accommodation costs associated with the cancellation of an event. CILIP reserve the right to cancel events
without prior notice.
CILIP reserve the right to:
- reschedule the date of the event
- make changes to the published programme without prior notice
- make reasonable changes to the venue and/or location
- make changes to the format (including moving from a physical to online format), timings and/or speakers
- You will not be entitled to a refund if any of the above changes are made.
CILIP accepts no liability if a delegate is unable to attend an event due to ill-health, change of circumstances, adverse weather conditions, travel disruption or any other reason beyond CILIP’s control. In the case of online events CILIP
additionally accepts no liability for the failure of a delegate’s IT equipment or connectivity. Refunds are subject to CILIP discretion.
Changes to these terms and conditions
CILIP reserves the right to make changes to these Terms and Conditions when necessary. You will be notified if there are any significant amendments which alter the nature of the agreement.

Books, DVD's, Posters
These may be returned within 14 days for exchange only. Returns are valid only for products that have not been opened, used or damaged. Products which are defective or damaged upon arrival may be returned immediately for exchange. Customers
are responsible for all postal charges on exchanges or refunds. Refunds are only available when an equivalent replacement is unavailable and customer does not wish to exchange for another product.
Digital Products (Audio, Video, E-Book downloads)
These products are not eligible for return or exchange. Should your file be defective or damaged upon arrival please contact the appropriate CILIP department, Devolved Nation, or Member Network where you purchased the product and we will
arrange for a copy of the file to be re-sent. Should you be dissatisfied with the quality or content of the file, we would be happy to hear your feedback. Please contact the appropriate CILIP department, Devolved Nation, or Member
