Posted By Fariba Bannerman, 06 November 2020
We are now welcoming nominations for the 2020 LIRG LIS Practitioner Researcher Award.
With a prize of £500, this award aims to recognise an individual or team of LIS practitioners who have made a substantial contribution to LIS research in 2019-2020.
The winner will be announced at the upcoming LIS Researcher Practitioner event, taking place on Thursday 10 December 2020. (to book a place follow the link here)
Nominations should take the form of a 500-word statement that demonstrates the research excellence and impact of the candidate (or candidate team) and provides evidence of their research output (e.g. references or links to published articles, links to blogs, conference papers or presentations on SlideShare). Nominations must be made by someone who can validate the work of the candidate (or candidate team).

Nominations will be judged using the following criteria:
•         Research Excellence – evidence of research merit and quality, e.g. citations, published in high quality journals, grant income.
•         Research Impact - impact of research or contribution to research to the wider LIS profession (how their research is used or makes a difference more widely); relevance of research to current professional context.
•         Research Output - evidence of sharing research findings with practitioners; number and variety of papers, reports, conference presentations, etc.
The deadline for nominations is Monday 30th November 2020. Nominations and queries should be addressed to Anja Badock, LIRG Awards and Events Officer, at Anja.Badock@uwe.ac.uk or visit: bit.ly/3eAHZEy
