National - Committee

Committee members provide direction for special interest groups, deciding on and arranging evens, training and other activities.

ARLG was one of the first two Special Interest Groups to be created by CILIP and we represent both HE and FE and research librarians. We support the DARTS Conference and the work of ARLG in CILIP Scotland. ARLG’s committee meets online around three times a year and welcomes new members who would like to gain new skills – committee work is great experience if you are undertaking Professional Registration or an apprenticeship. We have oversight of ARLG’s Regional Event Groups, each of which has a Regional Event Co-ordinator. There are lots of ways for you to get involved in our work
