Hannah Trzoska - Chair

I have always wanted to work in libraries. I joined Loughborough College in 2014 as a Library Facilitator delivering Study Skills workshops. I was promoted to Librarian in 2016 to act as the library’s team leader. I have an MA in Library and Information Management from Loughborough University.

Stephen Macdonald - Committee Member

I am currently User Support Librarian at Bishop Grosseteste University responsible for Information literacy and research support. Before that I was a subject librarian at West Suffolk College and have also worked at the University of Essex and Reading in the library service; I have an MA in Librarianship from the University of Sheffield.

Cat Taylor - Committee Member

Cat is an Academic Librarian at the University of Leicester, providing library services to undergraduate and postgraduate taught students and the staff who teach them. Cat holds an MA in Librarianship and is a Chartered member of CILIP. She also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice in Higher Education and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Shirley Huntington - Committee Member

Shirley's first job in libraries was at Keele University. Shirley has also worked as a school librarian and is currently working at Leicester College as Librarian Team Leader and HE Liaison Librarian collaborating with the partnerships librarian at De Montfort University. Shirley is also a CILIP mentor.

Sarah Lewis - Committee Member

I am an E-resources Library Assistant at the University of Lincoln where I have worked since 2013. I am also acting Academic Subject Librarian for Performing Arts on a fixed term basis Sept 2022-April 2023. I have worked in academic libraries for the last 13 years.

Katie Mann

Katie Mann - Committee Member

I am currently the Library Customer Service and Engagement Manager at Newman University (Birmingham). Prior to this, I have been a subject librarian at a couple of other institutions. I also had a very interesting stint as the first solo librarian at CU Scarborough – Coventry’s small campus up on the North Yorkshire coast. I have an MA in Library and Information Management, a PGCert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, and I’m a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Of course, my real passion is my cats!

Ayesha Thompson - Committee Member

Ayesha is currently the Resource Acquisitions Librarian at the University of Nottingham, concentrating on the acquisition of periodicals and e-resources. Prior to this, Ayesha ran the Acquisitions and Cataloguing department for Nottinghamshire public libraries (Inspire), worked for two different LMS suppliers and was also a school librarian. She has an MA in Information and Library Studies from Loughborough University and is a chartered member of CILIP, as well as being a qualified teacher.
