Webinar Series: Censorship and School Libraries, May/June 2023
Recordings now available for CILIP SLG members.

Following on from the success of a whole-day event last year, CILIP, CILIP SLG and the SLA are pleased to invite you to the first of three sessions to further explore some of the issues around censorship in school libraries.

With increasing numbers of school library staff reporting pressure about book stock decisions, it was felt there was a need for more input for members. The tension between the right for every child to choose what they read, and the need for us to safeguard our young people has never been a trickier balance to strike, so take this opportunity to become informed, prepared and confident.

This series of webinars is hosted by school librarian and SLG committee member Alice Leggatt, and there will be input from leaders in the sector plus a chance for Q&A.  These sessions are FREE for members of CILIP SLG and/or the SLA.

Please note, attendance at the previous event is not a requirement to attend these sessions.
