The Digital Technology Group (formerly Multimedia Information and Technology Group) aims to unite CILIP members engaged in, or interested in, multimedia information and technology developments in library and information science. It is a means of sharing experience and ideas, and promoting common professional interests. Members are drawn from all information service sectors, and have in common an interest in the delivery of information based on modern media and technology.

The Government Information Group (GIG) is a SIG especially for CILIP members interested libraries and information management within government and public organisations. Our purpose is to foster communication between GIG SIG members and promote knowledge sharing and dissemination. GIG is represented on a number of other professional bodies, including SCOOP, the Branches and Groups Forum, and the Special Libraries Committee and regularly comments on CILIP's policies and initiatives.

The Rare Books and Special Collections Group unites librarians responsible for collections rare books, manuscripts and special materials, with other interested individuals.
