About the Trainer

Naomi is the CEO and Founder of Naomi Korn Associates. Naomi is recognised world-wide as an expert in copyright. She is one of the UK’s leading trainers in copyright with more than 20 years experience. 

Naomi is co-author of Information Law: Compliance for librarians, information professionals and knowledge managers together with Charles Oppenheim and Adrienne Muir, both Senior Consultants at Naomi Korn Associates. In 2020, Naomi Korn was awarded the Walford Award for her outstanding contribution to knowledge and information management.

Whilst Chair of the Libraries and Archives Copyright Alliance (LACA), she led the reform of the UK’s copyright laws on behalf of the cultural heritage sector, which resulted in new exceptions to copyright in 2014. Naomi regularly represents the interests of the sector to UK government departments.

Naomi is undertaking a part-time PhD at the University of Edinburgh, analysing the impact of Brexit on the management of orphan works. She is a visiting lecturer at University College London, York University, Kingston University Business School and City University.

She is also a lecturer for the MA in Curating Art and Public Programme run by the Whitechapel Art Gallery and London South Bank University as well as PhD Affiliate at the Centre for Data, Culture and Society, University of Edinburgh.
