GDPR - the changes

  • Data Protection obligations for Data Controllers - Data Protection Officers; notification; Data Subject Rights and changes to charging; data breach reporting and what do you do if there is a data breach?
  • Privacy by design and Privacy Impact Assessments

Session 3

Managing personal data while working from home

  • Where do you collect and process personal data?
  • How do you keep print and digital data safe?
  • Data hygiene and library management systems
  • Carrying out an audit of information assets
  • Consider areas of risk when using remotely accessible services, software & hardware
  • Explore how you can ensure more robust cyber-security for you and your team working from home

Session 4

Data Protection - what you should be doing now

  • Your team's Action List: essential first steps for you to demonstrate and achieve full compliance. Working with other teams to keep personal data safe, such as procurement, ICT etc
  • Keeping data protection awareness high in your team
  • The role of setting policies for high data protection standards - including working with employees, contractors, interns and other 'touch points'
