Social Media for Public Libraries Programme

A CILIP Training Session for Staff Working in Public Libraries

Online, Half-Day Course

17 October 2023 10am-1pm

This workshop covers key social media platforms, why they're so important to public libraries, how they work and which types of content are most effective on each. We’ll aim to increase delegates’ understanding of the uses of social media and confidence in sharing content for posting.

It is aimed at staff working at all levels in libraries across GLL’s five partnership authorities to increase awareness, understanding and confidence around social media. It is particularly suited to those staff who are not responsible for, but are encouraged to provide, content for library social media accounts. It will also be of interest to those with an interest in becoming more involved in using social media as part of their role as well as those supporting Social Media leads.
