The following document sets out a two step- process for voting in the Network elections.
Eligibility to vote
1. In order to be eligible to vote in the election, voters must be registered as ordinary BAME Network members. Eligible voters must have registered in accordance with the election timeline for the BAME Network Member eligibility deadline.
2. Each BAME Network member is required to complete an electronic form in order to confirm that they agree to their name and email address being added to the third party electoral system for the purposes of the BAME Network committee elections. The link to this form will be sent to all registered members via the BAME Network newsletter.
3. Late joiners who comply with the BAME Network Member deadline (as indicated in the election timeline) will be contacted individually by email with the link.
4. This form has to be completed by 3rd October. Failure to complete by this deadline will result in the member being deemed to be ineligible to vote.
Voting
5. The Returning Officer sends out a link to the poll to all those who have opted in to taking part in the election by 20th October.
6. Elected candidates will be notified by the Returning Officer on the 3rd November.
